We are very happy to share that Jennifer Pike, the founder of Phoenix Road Creative, is now a member of the Rotary Club of Epping. Together, we plan to host events that will bring more customers to shops and restaurants on Epping high street. Additionally, these events will generate funds to support various local and international charities.
The Origins of Rotary Club International
Rotary International is a well-known service organization with a remarkable mission statement. Its primary objective is to promote integrity, goodwill, and peace while serving others by linking business, professional, and community leaders.
The vision for Rotary began with Chicago-based lawyer, Paul Harris, who established the Rotary Club of Chicago in 1905. Its primary intention was to provide a platform for professionals from various fields to exchange ideas and establish meaningful connections. Over time, Rotary’s focus expanded to include humanitarianism. Its members have a rich history of solving local and global issues.
The term “Rotary Club” was coined due to the initial practice of rotating meeting locations among members’ business premises. Although the club was initially founded for social reasons, it quickly evolved into a powerful force for community service. Pooling together the skills and resources of its members, the club has accomplished a great deal of good worldwide.
